Hi I was wondering of someone could help me with this,
I got a 2000 Peterbilt with a Cat
So i decided to put an Air Fryer in my truck and it runs off the inverter i have hooked in my sleep. The Inverter powers an mini fridge only and the air feyer when i use it for about 2 years it was fine
Then after anytime i use the air fryer theres a squeel coming from the front if i have the AC on, but if the ac is off no squeel,
slowly now even with the ac off there is a squeel only when i use the air fryer
I tried unplugging the mini fridge and using it didnt make a difference
Is it time to change parts?
Any ideas?
Belts and ac compressor are new and adjusted with in the last 6 months

Sounds like you may have alternator belts starting to squeal when under a load….

Are you hearing a belt squeal or electronic warning squeal? Is the engine running during this? I have heard inverters make a squeal noise when they are starving for power or faulting out. First steps are to always check basic power and ground connections to all those devices and batteries.

Belt tension? Sounds like the alternator is slipping under load. Also check pulley wear. If the belt is bottoming out in the v of the pulley it will slip. Once slipped a few times the belt will be no good.
Heavyd Thanks this.
