keep it clean and you have nothing to worry about. Carriers on the other hand, have a lot to worry about.

My Carriers biggest point getter is "Over weights". Mainly our Portland terminal. Which is really sad since they have a scale there. Oh, and the Safety Director doesn't seem to know the legal weights. For instance, steering axel weights.

In Oregon you may not exceed the following: (on a steer axel)
    1. 20,000 lbs.
    2. More than 600 lbs. per inch of tire width (sidewall to sidewall)
    3. The Manufacturer's Max. Load rating (which is on the sidewall)

    Oregon allows the lowest. ( http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/MCT/docs/size_weight.pdf ) page 6

He put out a memo that we can carry 13,200 lbs. on the steering. Our tires are rated at 6175 lbs. X2=12,350

Why? When I asked Him He said "Our steer axel itself is rated for 14,000 lbs."

    End of conversation.

I've been told to "Get a Hobby"
