RIP Joe Elmore

I wouldn't mind attempting to crank start one of those old tractors.

 

Wow yes I do remember Joe, didn't know this thanks. Rip Joe...his co star from years ago past away also.i had no idea he was that old. Live on Joe and Chuck reminds of my days tearing up the streets in Dallas in my big block chevys camaro and chevelle in the late 70s

 

Did you ever happen to race at Green Valley Dragway?

 

No never did, went there a few times....remember seeing jungle Jim and Pam, the snake and mongoose tho.

 

Not a gearhead out there who doesn't recognize the name. Man's a legend.

 

That tractor he was cranking is a J.I Case L model. Predecessor to my Case LAE stationary engine I have here at the house.

Ive never cranked 1 , but i can remember old timers talking about if you aint on the ball it'll break a wrist .

 

Diesel or gas or that other cant remember what its called , not not LNG .

 

Gas only… actually called a kerosene engine in many cases. My stationary LAE is a kerosene engine, start on gas and after it warms up, switch over to kerosene….
