not as much as I make where I'm at right now, but this is not the place for me... I need a career not a babysitting job... lol
Thanks for the info though! It gives me a better idea of what to expect out there when I make it.

A couple of very long days. We finished up at Denver by hauling some Purina to another Purina place in Clinton, IA and then had a preplan to pick up a P & G load from IA bound for WS, North Carolina. The only way to make it on time was to do a semi team schedule. Currently sitting outside Dayton tonight with about 450 miles or so to go tomorrow. Don't know if they will send me home after that or not as the drop is only 60 or so miles from Durham, will find out tomorrow probably. Driving at night is tough, driving through construction is tough, driving through downtown Indianapolis is tough, combine all three and you have a headache:)

Just curious are you in Evo 1 or Evo 2? When I was in Evo 1 trainers were not allow to run with a student like a team.

Made it home late last night after having to wait for an empty trailer at PG for about 3 hours. Spent my first morning back hacksawing away the remaining portion of the old galvanized pipes under my house, a nice clean job dealing with 70 year old plumbing problems:)
I am in EVO 1 Gypsy. I am not versed in what the trainers can or can't do although I do know that the first few days at least have to match the students in regard to on duty stuff. My trainer pretty much sat in the passenger seat the whole time when I was driving, he did do quite a bit of napping but usually along easy driving areas. Only in day 8 did he rest in the sleeper for a few hours and we had some offset in start of day times so that we could manage the necessary miles to get the deliveries on time.
Had to help a couple of different Swift drivers last night at the P&G as neither were able to slide their tandoms. Doing my good deeds as I am sure I will be in a pickle from time to time and need some help somewhere.
Only made it through 9 days of EVO 1 so have to finish the last day of that I suppose with my next trainer and hopefully then get on with EVO 2. Supposed to call in Monday morning to see what is in the works.

Are they low on trainers? I've been waiting a week and haven't started evo 1 yet.

Try calling and see what the hold up is. Usually they have a trainer come through with a load. We've picked up drivers in Evo 1 or 2 and drove them down to where a trainer was as we are coming through with a load. Sometimes it takes some time to coordinate things. Good luck.

Sounds like things are going well for you. Good luck with the rest of your Evo rotations.

Trainer and student logs have to match for the first five days. After that they can offset the 10 hour breaks.
