I read this and it's like.... it sure takes you a long time to get to a doctor. There are emergency rooms in almost any town. Any insurance company will laugh at delayed treatment. Any company would say, what's the next workers comp claim??
Them weeks you were off, the lease payments don't stop. No wonder you didn't get a check. You probably lived off cash advances too. Sorry you got hurt, but those are facts of life. Lease drivers are not O/O's. Stick to company driving. I been around awhile and only know one person that took possesion of a truck after a lease agreement was forfilled. I seen a whole bunch fail.

My husband gets hurt and they refuse medical treatment or workers comp. They only give you enough miles so that they get their money and maybe you get a small check.

It's been a while back, but I ripped a muscle in my back when I had to tailgate a load of office furniture. Back injuries usually take overnight to kick in to where you can't move. I drove for West Side trucking. I went to the doctors when I got home two days later. West Side denied me medical treatment like you said.
Later, I contacted the state of Iowa Div. of Workers Comp. A nice lady took my side and that was all I needed. They sent the company a letter stating to file a workers comp claim or be fined like $10,000. They sent me a copy is how I knew that.
It wasn't long after that the companies insurance company contacted me and the bills were paid. Remember that next time. Contact the state's office of workers comp. You can google search them for a contact.

Lease purchase is what you make of it. There are no reason for company to starve lease drivers it just means less money for them and pissed off drivers

Right? He should have said, wow all new equipment. How does that work with your lease? And he should have said, CSA scores dropping like a rock. Or maybe, lipstick on a pig.

I looked the other day. Their scores look a hundred times better. They must be doing 600 mile runs with an appointment 4 days away! :biggrin_2559: jk

How come some drivers are always getting screwed and others aren't?

It's because some drivers are attractive and have relationships, and other drivers aren't and don't.
