Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

well i had a really good day today old jj ranch was in town so i shot down to mcdonough about 30min south of me and met up . went on over to the summit racing equipment retail store and jjs eyes about poped out of his head looking at all the chrome high horsepower goodies to be had. then we went on over to southsidde steves grill and bar for a bite and my friend stevewas there for those of u you who dont know steve is a part of the regular guys trio on rock 100.5 in atlanta in the mornings. and has his own watering hole thats a pretty cool place to go. had a big bike show there today also. hey panhandle gimmie a shout when you get headed this way tomorrow and ill try and meetup with ya. if you can get up to 85n on the the north side of town theres a pilot in braselton forget the exit # but that would be a good place to meet up. and big rig truck driver you are absulutly correct on the southeast as long as your on a dedicated like we both were it is a pain if your on the reg over the road fleet but give methe south anyday.

 

yes mam jj was a real good boy today its always a pleasure to meet up with yall hopefully you can make it next time and i can get widow out long enough also to meet up . was telling jj we need to get you over to southside steves you would really enjoy it and get some good ole southern hospitality also.

HEY WOMAN GET YOUR ##### ON HERE AND SAY HELLO TO PANHANDLE.........hum i guess she wants to be difficult ill have her acknowledge you soon shes been doing a lot better here latly with the back and all but the kids and her moms health are now keeping her real busy plus our differences arent helping either but hopfully we can get that resolved here soon also.

 

Resting in Illinois hope for a good run out of here tomorrow. Weekend dispatch has no communication skills ie LISTENING!!!

 

i noticed in the ads today. central hiring recruiters and dispatch managers. AND, of course, drivers.

 

Parked in Georgetown KY for the night. Setup for my run into Atlanta for my 99 tuesday early AM. Then probably a 34 at somewhere other than the CDF.

Funny thing happened on the drive south this afternoon. Just driving along minding my own business when I blow past a Schaefer truck gettin on the freeway. I look over and it's an old bud from my media mogul days. if ya know or are familiar with trucking podcasts or YouTube videos, Finding America series, you'd know him as Trucker Tom. So I give him a ring, "hey bud, where ya at?" He says "Ohio, where are you?" I say "on your front bumper, ya wanna give me some room or ya gonna push me to Kentucky?"

Anyway... caught up on the phone and figured we were stopping about the same place, convoyed on down to here together, then chatted up tech and media stuff for a few hours over dinner. It is a small world sometimes.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I couldn't sit there passively eating a sandwhich while anyone was blindsiding in next to my truck.

 

I got lots of pics but usually post them on the hubby's Facebook. Laptop AND broadband giving me stress so haven't uploaded foto's for a while now. hopefully i will get some on here as well as take a look at u'rs soon. loving the spring and the new buds on the trees. seem to be doing loops from KS to CO, nice and crisp weather at night so still comfy and don't have to run the truck....summer is lurking but i like the in-betweens....bidding farewell to winter here also.

 

Well the Port fleet experiment is coming to an end for the season, but its been fun & we all hope to do it again next year. Now I move onto a new experimental fleet, sorry folk I'm playing this one close to the chest so I won't be saying much other then... "I SCORED BIG TIME!!!" for now.
