New driver, advice needed (MVR)

Hey truckers,

I just passed my CDL skills test today and I’m looking for a company that will give me a shot. I have a speeding ticket (personal vehicle) for 17 over and the date of conviction was 8/18/2023.

I also have another speeding ticket for 22 over and the date of conviction was 8/16/2022.

Am I going to find a company that will take the risk on me? Any suggestions on companies?

And before I get all of you jumping down on me telling me to slow down, I’ve completely changed my driving habits. I drive the speed limit and I obey all traffic laws. I fully acknowledge the mistakes I made and understand the severity of speeding. Since the incident, I have taken this as a valuable learning experience and have committed to being a more responsible and conscientious driver. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, especially now that I hold a CDL, where safety is paramount.

So please, I don’t need the lectures, I’m just asking for advice or suggestions on companies that may give me the opportunity.

I applied with them and they want to move forward but they haven’t run my MVR yet so I’m wondering if things will change after they receive it?

 

Okay, cool. That’s what I was worried about. Because I applied to another company, I was honest about the tickets on my application and to the recruiter and they said I was good. Then a couple days later I received the denial notice.

 

I’ve searched Craigslist for sure but I haven’t been able to find the trucker jobs on Facebook. I’m going to go try to find it again. Thank you for your reply.

 

Okay, that makes sense. So I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens with WE. I have another company that I really want to work for but they said because of my tickets I don’t qualify for an entry level position and I need 3 months experience and they’ll gladly take me in.

I passed my road test with only 7 points which was a tie for my school’s record. So I’m a good driver, I’ve just made some poor decisions. I’ve definitely learned from my mistakes and will protect my CDL with my life. I just need a company that will take me on.
