So, we've got an old ex-dump truck that we're converting to an oil field-style tractor, and we thought it'd be cool to get one of those beefy roller/frame extensions for it (like on the truck pictured here, or similar).
Where can one get their hands on something like that, preferably without spending an arm and a leg? I've called around, but I can't seem to find one without a complete truck attached to it.
Any and all ideas are appreciated. :)

There are a few outfitters in the Houston area and Tulsa was a big place for it at one time.

    Humbird Thanks this.

Likely have to fabricate it or contact an outfit that rigs out those kinds of trucks.

Only 2 I can think of off the top of my head would be Brandt (formerly Camex) and Lennox. Both based out of Alberta.

Are you actually putting a winch on it too, or just want a live roll? Will be pointless without the winch.

Thank you both for the suggestions.
And yes, we are going to put a winch on it. The truck already has the hydraulic pump for it.

Pete would send trucks from Denton plant up to Tulsa to be outfitted for the oilfield years ago. If you specced a Braden winch they'd be sent down to Houston. Most of the Alcan trucks were outfitted in Houston. Paccar bought Braden Winches out years ago and are now under the Paccar roof.

Maybe take one off of a winch truck that has been wrecked.

Local fab shop used to make them for about 1/2 of what they cost from Galbreth. Check around.
