New truck paid in full or used truck paid in full? Because it costs his as much to run a used truck down the road as it does a new one, and if it’s new interest is a write off for however long you plan on depreciating it

Hopefully that’s well into 5 figures if not closer to 6

what you want is irrelevant, what do your customers want you to haul?

Before you do anything, get a quote for insurance. It is really hard for a one person operation to get direct customers even if you have sales experience.

    HaglerFan and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Thank you for your valuable advice.

You're right, I haven't searched the millions of posts that go back as far as before 2010.

I might stay with dry van or reefer, I just had questions in regards to getting training for flatbed without going to a TMC/Maverick/Prime, etc as I explained in my post.

If my asking questions has really upset you, maybe you should talk to your doctor about changing your medication as you're obviously in need of something.

    Thank you and best wishes.

Definitely, already have insurance quotes. And my point was that I'm reasonably good at establishing relationships in a business environment and I feel that eventually I'd be able to build a customer base.

Thank you for that. I'm not 100% sure I'm going that way, but I'd like to be properly trained so that I don't get someone killed.

No, they aren't. Do you know where I can get flatbed/securement training without going to a training company?
