Maybe true, but unless they're O/O's that can make that decision, remember, sometimes it's not the driver's choice. Company I worked for reminded me that the chains are like jewerly. Nice to look at, but don't try to use them functionally. Wasn't a choice. Honestly, never bothered me not to either.

I just had a bunch of luck that I never had to, and being from Michigan, flat snow never bothered me, but the company didn't feel that good about doing it on the ''hills".

 

Exactly what I was thinking, when I saw this. It's been in the works for awhile, so I don't know when they finally implemented it, but it's not something I ever even thought about using. Kind of peeved actually, today. The place I tried to get truck parking from near my house before I had to 'voluntary quit' the last OTR company, now has a big sign out advertising space for truck parking now....bastages.

This is why I'll never again buy aftermarket front end parts. Barely 30k km on these and they're toast. Boots survived about 6 months and I managed to make them last about another 10 months by greasing them every weekend. OEM Ford parts are 2x as much but at least they lasted 220k km the first time.
