Agreed if you think something is wrong or something is off with the way, your truck and trailer is riding more than likely something is wrong. The load was light and I was going just 120 miles and it was raining with a bunch of train tracks still, I should’ve took my lazy butt out the driver seat and looked around, but I don’t think that would help because I didn’t catch the suspension until one of the ops on this forum mention to check leveling valves.

When I got a ticket in Oregon, the only break I got was to make 3 easy payments, plus court costs.
I was warned at an inspection if my spread axles scaled more than a 1000 pounds different. I would be put out of service.
For inoperable air ride system. IDK if that is a real thing, didn't question the inspector.

May be the Inspector did give you a break.

I’ve never heard that about the 1k differential. I’d like to see that in writing somewhere. I believer you were told that but doesn’t seem right

Well. My fine was $300 for bridge weight. Everything was legal for all states but Oregon has a lower bridge.

I received the response from the cat scales guarantee department, and they have said they will reimburse the ticket. I can’t believe how lucky I got with this. I still have not called the courthouse to see about reducing the ticket.
As we know from this thread, I am responsible due to turning off the suspension dump, but there is a discrepancy between CaT scales weight and the DOT scales weight by 3500 pounds So my question for you guys is, would you take the reimbursement?

    Kyle G. Thanks this.

Take the reimbursement and pay the fine. Do not mention anything about your suspension being dumped to them. They are paying the reimbursement because of the gross weight difference. Be happy that they are willing to do that.
