"Old" CDL and "New" CDL will have the same Drivers license #. Insurance co's have access to past years DMV records, including drivers license info. They can tell if he had a CDL 1 year ago or 15 years ago.

That's why I am asking what he is saying, it makes no sense at all.Bean Jr. and brian991219 Thank this.

How does insurance find out these days? It's no longer listed on the mvr.
I Ordered mine last week. -
Every MVR we order goes back as long as they have had a license in the state. And the state it was transferred from, if any.
Then you can run that state if needed. -
When I went to work at the flatbed company there was a guy who’d been there about 12 years. Just one of those guys who would make a mountain out of a molehill. He quit and went to work for another guy. He ended up having one accident over there and a couple years later he wanted to come back. The ladies in the office didn’t want him coming back so the boss said insurance wouldn’t take him because of his accident.TripleSix, Oxbow, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this.

you guys must be sering something different.
I've only had one state. It used to be there. Now it's not. -
Usually when we order we're asked MVR express or complete. We always order complete.snowwy Thanks this.

I';m thinking one plastic CDL has a recent issue date, and another plastic CDL doesn't have the recent issue date. I'm not exactly sure about how to have 2 plastic CDLs, maybe it involves getting a replacement becasue you lost the original and then later find the original. I don't know. I'm guessing.

Exactly. It's hard to tell exactly what happened (this guy's writing style makes it difficult to pick out the facts from the nonsense), so I'll give a few possible scenarios:
1) Person reviewing is only looking at CDL issue dates; nothing else.
2) Company just doesn't want you, due to age, experience, appearance, demeanor, the rambling way you write, body odor, etc. Some companies only want young idiots who they can jerk-around....
3) Insurance doesn't want somebody your age
4) Lapse in CDL.
5) Inaccurate description of the situation by driver (i.e., he has an accident or ticket he doesn't want to mention, has chronic health issues, etc.).gentleroger Thanks this. -
The case I mentioned was the broker who provided my MVR reports and it only included the issue date of the current driver's license on the report from the service they used instead of the actual state driver's abstract which usually shows the CDL test/original issue dates.
The clerk had no other reference so I started providing the missing details just to save unnecessary extra phone calls.
In my case it was frustrating to have an app with over 10 years experience being questioned,
