RMIS asks for Driver's license now

    I understand the whole fraud prevention thing, but setup companies starting to go a bit too far.
    RMIS now wants not only the front pic of the Drivers license, but also the back of it, with all the barcodes.
    All the technology companies get hacked. My info got leaked by Att, T-Mobile and my health insurance provider. I truly have no desire for all my information to be in a open wide web

    I hate this too....and a lot of these I.T. companies are outsourcing hiring and I get contacted from India and they have me upload me holding my license.

    This entire planet is out of control man. I am 100% sure I have been taken advantage of in my hunt for gigs.

    I have no way to prove it but someday I imagine I will find out.

    I have credit locks on all 3 agencies that I can control with the click of a mouse so that helps but I am curious what the worlds bad guys can do with what I have had to put out there.

    Credit lock is an option, but what about them having a pic of your drivers license and copies of MC, Insurance and W2? Highway now also asks for a pic of truck title and cab card.
    If a scammer has all that info, what stops him from setting up a new account and book loads under your name or doing some other crazy stuff?

    Is this just for single truck carriers? RMIS has never asked that of us. Nor any broker. They have asked for VIN# of truck and listed on our insurance.

    This is something new, I think started this week. I have 4 trucks on my MC, so it's not about single truck owners. Looks like every RMIS user will have to do the verification

    They can be as picky as they want in this market. Plenty of bottom feeders plenty eager to give their first born for that cheap freight.

    I'm starting to see this mentality surface in the employment world as well. Hourly wages offered are almost insulting.

    I updated my certs with highway and RMIS last month and wasn’t asked for anything. Maybe I’ll get asked next year..
