Help with violations. “OPERATE VEHICLE WHILE TEXTING"

i understand if I got lasik, which is a permanent eye surgery.
But I got ICL, which is a lens inserted into the eye. It can be reversed, much like taking off glasses.
That’s why the corrective lens is valid. But the cop wouldn’t listen lmao

 

unfortunately, I only got violations, as in warnings, no actual citation.

 

I get it, I see #######es All the time on their phone, I’m not one of them. I haven’t received a ticket for anything in the last 10 years, did get some tickets in my early twenties, but I’ve since wised up.
I’m not on my phone in my car, much less my truck.

if my phone was anywhere but behind the brake pedal, I would have left it, but it being behind the brake pedal. I feel posed a bigger risk than me reaching down and getting it.

I didn’t take my eyes off the road when I was retrieving the phone. At 6’2 my arms were long enough to reach down, without looking away.

Not an excuse, but I wasn’t on my phone texting, or inattentive.

 

with the phone behind the brake pedal? I would say not stopping and potentially killing myself or others is a tad bit worse than grabbing my phone, no?
