2 for my cdl not being valid.
One for the cell phone
one for not having a mount.
and the last one for not putting the load paperwork in my ELD. -
Injustice also exists in this world. In my view anyway
-
Should be happy that you weren't fired.
If you were put OOS, who came and got the truck?dosgatos, tscottme and bryan21384 Thank this. -
He put me out of service for “not having glasses” his words, not mine.
So I bought a pair of glasses from loves, and went about my way.
nothing was wrong with my HOS so. -
I can agree with your statement, but what injustice is here in the post?If the person did have surgery to repair his vision it’s on him to have the restrictions removed from his license how would an officer know his vision was repaired?it’s the driver responsibility to show he does no longer need glasses his bill of lading number is required to be on the eld .As for a Mount for a cell phone I have no clue if not having one is illegal a phone in hand is illegal while operating on a public roadtscottme Thanks this.

The phone one is going to be your albatross. I think you're going to have a tough time explaining that one. You caught a bad break in a way, but you would have been better off to pull over and pick it up then to reach down and get it. There isn't a single state that will see a reason as to why your phone was in your hand.
brian991219, Lennythedriver, tscottme and 3 others Thank this. -
Fair enough, I appreciate the brutal honesty. I’m for sure gonna try to fight it, with the cell phone records. If it works great, if not, then it is what it is I suppose.bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Considering this happened on I-40 in Flagstaff I firmly believe that phone could have bounced out of a cup holder, or off the dash, but it is what it is. I would've left it on the floor and pulled over to retrieve it, plus you've got to know your surroundings at all times.D.Tibbitt, tscottme and bryan21384 Thank this.
