Still making progress on the shop space. Thankfully we got a blast of warm weather this week and I managed to hammer out a bunch of work after work almost every night this week. I need to hire a maid to cook and clean for me, then I could make some decent progress on all this #### I seem to pile onto my plate.

Good morning, yes finally. 8:30 last night before I got turned around down in that holler and headed out.
Took 40 minutes to get the machine running, they found the fuel had jelled up from the cold.
Permits took me down the WVTP on down 77 to Statesville, NC to I-40 west to Morganton, NC then back up 181 through Pisgua National forest, what a road.
New owner said he had 2 years to rework a river, told me the water during the storm was 40’ deep through there. And it’s a little river with lots of rocks and ripples….Big Road Skateboard, singlescrewshaker, jamespmack and 10 others Thank this. -
Fuel Gelling:
Always at the worse time. I try to get "northern" fuel in the truck as soon as I can, when running up there. And keep anti-gel in the side box for the rare freezing weather down here. Good to see that you got the beast to start.
Sounds like you got to see lots of pretty country....well the National Forest road might of demanded closer attention to your driving.
What is now a little water way, not to long ago had 40 feet of water? I think I would move that up the list of things to do. Can't say I appreciate where mother nature decides to relocate my house and structures while she is in a "mood".
Had an acquaintance call and ask about moving a big dozer, D11 maybe. I kept thinking nope, I don't move that stuff anymore but I know someone who does......
He is in no hurry so let me know if you want to get warm latter this winter. It's going to PA somewhere. Hmm that is some sketchy information isn't it?

Wasn’t just the low lands that got tore up. Pulling the mountain on 181 I was down into 4th gear, the curves were many. 1/2 way up there were trees just cut and pushed out of the road, and I’m not talking a tree here and there I’m talking it looked like a stock yard for a pulp mill…..Big Road Skateboard, singlescrewshaker, jamespmack and 11 others Thank this.
