I really think those questions need to be answered by the company. That is if you want solid factual information. Besides it may even change when or if you go there.

If you don't have other people to team with, CRST will put you together with a team. About the only consideration when they do this is smoking/non smoking and sex. They don't do compatability tests or hand you a questionaire to match you like a dating service. (a common belief amongst recruits)
Pay at CRST (after training) begins at 0.22 per mile, split. This means you are paid for all miles of the truck, whether you drive them or your team mate drives them. This does not include while the other two team drivers are driving when you are on your 10 day break.
Presently, 20/10 teams are getting a hair over 5,000 miles per week. So figure @5M miles, you're earning about $1100 per week to be split, or $550 per week for yourself. Also consider you are working about 3 weeks per month so your monthly average earnings to start are about $1650 per month gross.
The amount you're paid increases over the first year.
Also consider your team mate (s) may have more experience than you, so they may be paid at a higher rate. So for simplicity's sake, figure you are earning 0.11/mile for the total miles of the truck driven when you are on duty.
As I recall, they pay weekly.
Of those drivers I've spoken to on the 20/10 program, all agreed that CRST is very good about 20 on, 10 off. They will give you that in writing.
The only question you really have to ask yourself is: Can I team drive with a stranger?
I did it with another company when I started back in '72 and had no problem. However consider whether you can sleep in a bouncing truck. I was young then, just back from overseas where I slept in holes full of water, with bullets flying by, so sleeping in a bouncing Freightliner was easy.
Remember. That team driver will be closer to you than a girlfriend, wife or anyone else. You are cooped up in a tiny cab for 20 days at a time. You better be able to get along with people pretty easily!
Team driving is most profitable for the company, but it's what makes it so difficult for most drivers.
If you're inclined to do it, go for it! When you get older in life, you don't regret the things you did. You regret those things you didn't do. -
thanks a lot for all the info..I don't have a problem sharing space with someone as long as their not total a-holes..long as I have my ipod or my labtop ill be fine when im not behind the wheel. as far as sleepin in a bouncing I think I can manage that..I can deal with the 20/10 program..just hope I don't be stuck at .22 per mile for a long time..

Pay is twice weekly, tuesdays and thursdays. They use transflow. Look on their website for pay rates. Raises start the 3rd month after training. They get bigger after 6 months.

A driver from the Chicago area will find no short supply of co-drivers. Hell, half of my trainees were from the area! I'm pretty sure that for the 20/10 program co-drivers are assigned with no input from you. If you want to have some say in that, you'd be better off going the regular team route.

is not just question of pay rate, is how many miles per week they can give u. if you have money set aside. then u ready to get the learning xperience in the trucking world. If you have a question in rule and regulation, call you D.O.T and they will give you acurate answers. Dont trust anyone else.
