That's great but you were singing a different tune in your previous post quoted below. Sounds like you're still profitable so you're not doing anything "without pay."

I don't mean to offend you but you're just a glorified company driver. You get to run so cheap because you don't have all the compliance expenses and added overhead.

Sometimes it’s nice being a glorified company driver and using discounts to your advantage. My fuel cost for the year is right at 40 cents per mile, I get parts discounts at Peterbilt now, got my Michelin steer tires for almost $200 off, physical damage insurance is cheaper than what I was paying Great West on my own, no more paying for tolls. The list goes on. Profitwise I’m way ahead of where I was last year.

"Business " means you have to make more than an employee. Can you hire a driver to do the work you do and still have profit leftover? If not, you just bought yourself a job

$520-ish for 14 ply, so just under $600 each on the truck. It was the last set of the old X line steer my local shop had. I didn’t want to try the new version. I got $325 trade in on my old steers.

and a job with no health insurance, vacation/personal days, retirement program, educational reimbursement, FMLA-
Having those things isn’t everything: but why work for less AND not have those things covered?
