I hope everyone on here has Merry Christmas and is able to make it home. Things are still going well for me. I delivered in Winnsboro, TX this morning and will be homeward bound for some time off once my break is finished this evening.
Knucklehead, REO6205, nextgentrucker and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm working through Christmas and New Year. I usually stay out for Thanksgiving also. Makes it a little easier for those who want to be off for family.
Hopefully, we get the $25 Christmas dinner reimbursement this year.

Nice! You guys still getting good miles? Last week, Cypress gave me a GOOOD load which surprised me. From Troy, Alabama, to Fairfield, Maine, about 1400 miles, maaan! That was good load, then got one from Maine, to come back down to Georgia. Didn't like the hills and mountains on I-81 and I-84 and didn't like the cold either lol. Pass through New York, and saw snow for the first time. That's the first time that I've gone that far up in the Northeast, usually I go to Pennsylvania and that's it. It was a great experience wish they'd give me these long loads, but I know I'm gonna get to the regular short loads and delivering a load a day lol.Knucklehead and Tanker_82 Thank this.

I’ve still been getting good miles. My other truck finally laid down on me the week of Thanksgiving. I made a delivery in Decatur, AL. and when I shifted into reverse at the customer facility, the truck made a loud screaming sound under the cab. I tried going back into neutral and into drive but got the same noise. It was the clutch. I was towed to Peterbilt and ended up getting a rental car due to the holiday closure at the dealership. Once it was all said and done, I was able to move into a lot newer and nicer truck at Winter Haven and get back on the road.
Maine and New Hampshire are the only two states in the lower 48 that I haven’t been able to touch during my time at IRT. I’ve always wanted to get a load to Maine and see the coastline up there. Hopefully you saw some nice scenery.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
Nice, I hate switching trucks cause you have to get all stuff out of your old truck and put it in the new one, I mostly hate it cause I have a big *ss fridge and a microwave, and I have to take them out every time I switch trucks. Did they gave you another Peterbilt or was it a Freightliner? Maine was cool, didn't like the cold, that's all I'm gonna say lol, I'm in Virginia right now doing a 34 and gonna deliver Monday, it's 20 degrees outside right now... Crazy! You guys go to New York right? Do you deliver in New York City or do you deliver in the state of New York in another small city or the country side?

I have a Peterbilt. We deliver and pickup loads in the state of New York. I’ve never had an address on a load assignment that was within the actual city of NY, NY, though. I’ve passed through several times on my way to Connecticut or Massachusetts, Most people I talk to prefer to go up and around, but I like to go across the GW bridge and through the city for the view of the skyline.Speed_Drums and nextgentrucker Thank this.

#### so you take 95 and go through NYC? You don't get into traffic? I wouldn't do that lol. Another question, do we all get a Peterbilt overthere? I've seen some videos on YouTube where I don't see the privacy curtains on the windows from the YouTuber's truck, do they come without it and if so, does IRT have some we can put ourselves cause I would rather have a Freightliner if that's the case. Also how big is the fridge on the truck? Is there room to bring my own, I have a bigger fridge that can hold more things. Thanks!
