Deserted1, are you saying that they send you thru 10 days of orientation and then put you in a truck after you had just completed your initial CDL training? If this is so I need to call these guys, They seem really good and trusting, I have been thinking the same thing about a trainer... Learn his bad habits smell his whatever for weeks on end to go and do it the way the company wants you to... Thanks. TD.

They have a 10 day orientation that teaches you the WS way of doing things....they expect you to be able to drive when you get there and be mostly comfortable doing it. Once you get thru their 10 day, they hand you the keys to a truck and tell you to go do it, no trainer. Believe me, sometimes it's scary out there with no trainer to fall back on, but it does teach you to rely on yourself....also you can call other drivers anytime you need advice and they are most willing to help you.
You can also check out my thread that I started about my experiences with WS. Don't let the title fool you, it's really only the 10 day program.... http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...kins-shepard-30-day-training-experienced.html Hope this helps....LostOne9 and soon2betrucking Thank this. -
