You guys looking for a plant to operate out of in the NE, find the whichever plant Darren Taylor is operating up there. He's running either an AP or Messer plant up there.

Solid boss who cares about his drivers. Ex-KAG regional manager. Worked for him for a year and was highly impressed.

Only plants I sort of know about in New England. Is the Messer plant in Maine. Then I think there is a airgas or air products plant in Connecticut. Because once I grabbed a trailer in Connecticut that the previous was from one of those companies in Connecticut.

Hopefully they won't count that as a preventable against you.

I'm more than willing to listen how it was preventable.
Talked to the plant superintendent and he asked if I thought I was a hero in this..
I bit my lip and told him most likely my experience prevented a huge incident or accident in a unforseen and uncontrollable situation.
I watched the dash cam vid twice and didn't see anything to show otherwise

Glad youre ok, Bud! And What the actuall F@#$?! What a colostomy bag of a "Leader" As soon as it gets little colder here, thats going to be an everyday thing. This is the first winter we have run nights here and I dont think they understand the difference between road surfaces getting sun during the day and road surfaces freezing at night. We have so many customers with hilly driveways and sloped parking lots where there is zero room for error, I'm actually getting really nervous about it. Funny, when I was with CO2 here, almost all our customers were nice flat proprieties. Come over here and I wouldn't be surprised if I showed somewhere and there was a friggin loop!

We have a downhill section of road near the farm that is about 13% (I have to go up it in low range -- EMPTY). We've told dispatch and our sales guy and every driver we catch at delivery to NOT take that road in, especially during the winter, but it rarely gets passed on to the drivers.

Until.... I get a phone call from a driver at 9pm. Our tank is still over 1/3rd full, about a week for us, but dispatch sent out a partial anyway, in a snow storm. Of course, the driver takes the no-no road, but has the good sense to stop right as it really drops off and gets interesting. As he gets out to chain, the truck slides sideways into the ditch....... I politely declined to bring out equipment to get him back on the road. Not sure anything short of the excavator would have had the oomph to get him out.

But, to this day, dispatch seems to wait for a snow storm before sending a truck out, and even though we've asked several times that someone calls us so we can clear the snow on our property and spread cinders for the trucks, it never happens. It's as frustrating on our end as I know it is for you drivers.
