Hello all. My name is Kenth. I'm sort of new to trucking. Obtained my CDL through CRE (I know), drove for them for 6 months, then National Carriers for the next 6 months or so. I'm currently at Tesla. Have been away from trucking for a year. Drove OTR reefer. I'm planning on purchasing several Tesla Semis once the tech is dialed in and infrastructure in place (probably another couple years). I also have done graduate work in the sustainable transportation space, so please don't write back telling me how much Tesla sucks. I'm well aware of what needs to be fine tuned. That's what I'm doing there now. I'm considering returning to trucking, in the interim, to continue to hone my skills. Not sure yet. If I do, I'll likely purchase a diesel in the interim, probably a Cascadia. But, not sure yet. That's why I am now looking for a mentor, who is an experienced owner/operator. No sense reinventing the wheel, if it can be avoided. I would like help deciding which truck is the best, both in terms of brand and new/used. I have experience with Freightliner, International, Kenworth. I also need help learning the ropes of owner/operator work. On an aside, were you inclined to help, I would also consider driving teams with you, at a considerable discount. The continued training would be very valuable to me. Anyway, sorry for the long letter. Looking forward to chatting.

My advice is this - get back on the road as a company driver and save money. Learn the system on someone else's dime.
