The super coop in South of Davis, the one at Dora headed west and Texola headed east all take your picture when you go by whether they are open or closed. Why I can’t say cause I’ve not been in an Oklahoma coop open or closed just isn’t my cup of tea. Possibly we have a mutual understanding i don’t talk to then and they don’t talk to me

Atta boy, or girl, we're proud of you, did you blink your clearance lights as you went by? There were a couple times, running empty, you'd go in the scale and block the window, run interference as it were, and your buddy would turn out their lights and roll by. I don't recommend that today. I only had a few scales to contend with on a daily basis, and an iron clad route around them. You'll be fine, but a basic rule, when in doubt, volunteer. It's better than bypassing them.

Don't get over there much anymore. Pre-covid did it often, and post-covid seemed like one or the other would be closed and choose your route.

I actually got pulled into that one for a Level II once(must’ve been a slow day in Maryland). Officer asked for cab card, insurance and 7 days worth of logs. I passed and he sent me on my way. At the time they had about a dozen DOT officers there ,some of which were waiting to fly down the on ramp to 495 South to catch scale dodgers!lol

Now the Perryville scales on I-95 is VERY DIFFERENT story-since the state rebuilt both sides it’s a major case of FAFO!!
If the signs say “OPEN” and the lights are flashing, you go in unless you get a bypass signal!
    Maryland will chase you down!
Even when the northbound side was under construction DOT had scales set up(trucks were routed into the inspection shack)!

I can’t speak from experience as to the ones on 95, but they’ll definitely chase you on 50 and 13.

Rolled through the scale in Michigan on 94 once. I was empty, had the green light, just as I passed, the light turned red. I figured for the guy behind me. About halfway down the ramp, I see this fat trooper waddling out to his car, and the chase began. ( cue hillbilly getway music) I stopped before the end of the ramp, this guy, I swear, was a dead ringer for Buford T Justice. He chewed me out for not stopping, but let me go.
