All they have to do to label it as “drug money” is find some drugs on you, someone with you, in or vehicle or just simply have a K-9 smell residue on your cash. The smell on cash thing by itself should not be allowed because they say all paper bills in circulation smell dirty. $20 bills being the worst and thats the most common bill in my world.

When it is packaged in plastic baggies, carried in a semi trailer, and is discovered along a well-known drug- and human-smuggling route... it's not personal money.

mjd4277 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

No! At least not within the country.

That’s an assumption, not a fact and the entire problem with civil asset forfeiture which has been widely abused many more times than it’s been used properly and within the spirit of the law!

I personally have been on a well known “drug route” with excessive cash that was 100% legal. So you think that it would have been ok to take my money based on your assumption?

No. I think civil asset forfeiture should be declared unconstitutional because it violates due process.
