Which Truck to buy?

I'v owned over 15 pete 379's. You are preaching to the choir about real trucks. they are beautiful trucks and I love them. I'm sad to see them go obsolete too, I think it's a shame. But it doesn't work out. If you want to live for your truck then go for it.

as for the big cat. The truck I'm driving now is a 05 kw t800 that we got used with a c15 cat turned down to 450 from the 525 it was at when we got it. We got the truck cheap so figured it would be worth it. Yes the cat will run alot longer than the others before needing work but when they do break the are VERY expensive to fix. they are heavy and to top it off this truck is getting 4.6mpg and I only haul 18k lbs. I drive this truck empty 57mph on the cruise in IL and I drive it seventy loaded though the mountain in TN. the BEST I every got out of it is 5mpg.

Needless to say this truck won't be around long

 

Med. Tell me how have you done it ? You have owned 15 Petes and now have a Kenworth but yet you are only in your early 30's. Interesting, or did you mean: you know someone that has owned those trucks, like a relative and maybe he took you into the business ? Remember "presentation" is everything.
