I got my own truck but I’m leased under somebody else authority . I work in the ports in Philadelphia. Question I got is what can I do about the person I work
For trying to force Dispstch me to do work I don’t want in order for him to give me work I want. Contract say no force Dispstch and the person is pretty much telling me he won’t give me work unless I do the work he wants me to do what can I do about this

That's how it is when you're lease onto to a Carrier. Some told me when I was leased onto a Carrier I'm just a 'Glorified Truck Driver'. I never let that insult get to me because the carrier I was signed to had work and I never had to hustle and they showed respect to me as a O/o. I always say that a 'Dispatcher' can make and break a company in a lot of ways especially when their Egos take off from gaining more power from Owners and Managers. I run my own Authority now but it is rough out there however no one can tell me what to do because I'm operating on my own. Times are difficult especially with these tariffs kicking in. If you can't find another carrier to sign onto then have a sit down with Management about the situation.

If the loads you want outweigh the ones you don’t you could just smile and do the work if the money is worth it. If not then you’ll have to take your truck and go someplace else. I’ve always been leased to a carrier and if things stop working the way I’d like them to, for one reason or another, I give it about two months. If there’s no correction I move on.

That’s the thing, the loads are terrible that’s why he tried to force guys to do them . That’s why I’m just sitting here hoping something better comes along

Probably be better off to actively seek out something different to do instead of waiting for someone to come along and offer something better.
