Spent the day tearing my passenger side door apart to get to the lower and upper pin that wing or vent window pivots on. Trying to put new rubber seals on there. Top pin doesn't compress and the bottom pivot you see is solid with a spring and a 1/2 " nut. Thought one of those pins would compress and I could easily remove the window outta the frame. Seal goes on the window and has 2 holes top and bottom those pins run thru and should go back as a unit onto the frame. Nope! And that metal frame is bolted and rivoted onto the door, aint moving. Has anybody done this, any ideas? I'll sleep on it. 20240709_171707.jpg

Should be able to remove the bolt/spring on bottom. Slide vent down, pin comes out and stays on vent. When reinstalling it, tighten the bolt up to a desired ease of operation. Won’t hurt to put some grease on the bottom parts before bolting it back in.

20240709_171630.jpg 20240715_125620.jpg 20240715_125639.jpg Had to tear the door apart to get to the bottom pin/bolt which has a nut on the bolt/pin. remove nut etc. Then drop down the big door window so I could remove the door felt and window seals across door, that allowed me to tilt top of vent window, with frame complete, backwards and remove entire vent window/frame and seal together. Top pin is connected with two screws that run through the frame, so cannot get to that until it comes out completely as one piece. Remove vent window and install seal on the frame track, measure across the frame tracking where the seal rides, different trucks different sizes, so you can get it wrong, and the seal is wrong... too big or small. Now is the kicker, Bigrig world.com, which is the Kenworth dealer in Illinois, tells me they not only don't sell that seal by itself but you gotta buy the vent window, frame an seal altogether now...this coming from paccur. My door is apart already an now I need a seal, anyone know an aftermarket place that may have a seal?! Numbers on the rotted old seal is #120-018191 LH

I remembered the 2 screws on top. Meant to mention that. Same as my Freightliner. Looks exactly the same. Maybe you can compare it against a FLD. Try Freightliner for the seal. Glad you figured it out.

I think they're basically the same door because I've seen KW daylight doors on a FLD.

Yes I did and learned something, those part #s are good. I called a few KW dealers and found out Kw cannot just sell those seals alone any more. Seems Paccar got greedy and only sells a package deal, ya gotta buy the winde, the frame an seal together now. Got mad an started callin dealers everywhere, found a dealer that just happened to have both seals on the shelf by themselves. In Loisiana, he shipped them to Oklahoma Citys dealership an I got them there.I got lucky an squeezed by. The parts guy in Ok city give me those 4 or 5 numbers to call and I hit the Jackpot. Do some dealer still got a set by themselves settin on a shelf some where? Worth time on the phone to find out. Good luck driver.
