THROUGH THE YEARS I HAVE HEARD ALOT OF GOOD AND BAD ABOUT CRST, I MYSELF PERSONALLY WOULD NOT RUN WITH THEM, BUT THAT IS JUST BECAUSE OF MY PERSONAL SITUATION. I HAVE A GOOD FREIND THAT HAS BEEN A TRAINER FOR 11 YEARS AT CRST. I KNOW THAT HE RUNS HARD AND THERES NO LACK OF MILES, AND HE ALSO HAS A GREAT DISPATCHER WHICH CAN MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN ANY COMPANY. IT IS UP TO YOU TO DO YOUR RESEARCH TO FIND WHAT COMPANY FITS YOUR SITUATION,YOU MAY BE HAPPY WITH A COMPANY THAT SOMEONE ELSE CANT STAND!! SO GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TRUCKING VENTURES B SAFE ON THE ROAD AND ALWAYS DRIVE HAPPY!!

Although semi didnt say anthing bad about the company, most info request, are probably best kept secret or by private message. We cant be to revealing out here, our potential employers just might be keeping tabs.
But id say that you can just about go to annyone of these big companies, you here alot of negative stuff about them but you mise well get your foot in the door.It wont be easy, you'll haft to work hard and stay focussed. As hard as it is, try not to dig in to the negative things about it as it might be an out for you wene things get tuff.No body starts at the top, especially at the best places were senority is the number one thing. Most of your opptions with any company will most likely be the same.Just listen to the complaints out here on this site, it be hard not to find anything negative. If thats what your looking for it wont be hard to find.
I started out with Swift and i found out real quick it was the most hated company in the industry. You'll find out about that later wene you get out on the road. That for me was kinda difficult, the training program sucked, and the pay scale was pretty bad.
Good luck and quicklly learn to use your map book, you should get a good one. Look around at differant truck stops for the best price, they're pretty exspensive but you can usually find one at a fair price if you look around a little.

If you drove for an OTR company back in '86, re-pete, CRST isn't gonna do anything that you wouldn't expect. My only real suggestion is that you use the Qualcomm for communication as possible. If you don't know how to use one, can't learn computer-type stuff too easily, or don't have someone who REALLY knows it to help you, then you could be up ##### creek without a canoe! I would avoid talking on the phone with your fleet manager as much as possible. Many of the dispatch functions are now automatic, based on what you personally do with the Qualcomm.

Even the closest of frends can give in to these kind of conditions,as i can tell you first hand as one of my closest frends took off on me in Chicago and took a bus home following a heated argument over petty stuff, which is usually the case. Many can snap under these types of conditions especially if you're still learning.
The key would be to not burn yourself out, which can be hard to do with the DM'Z sticking it to you, pushing you to your breaking points. As most teams try to stick together stress can cause them to break apart. DM'z are king when putting it on, especially if they think they're being played.
Try to take a break and get away from the truck, as it can resemble an infliction from hell at times. Try to work things out with your team driver without burning down the ship as you may regret it later. Furthermore, try not to take on more than you can handle. Most companies with team opperation will push you hard especially these bigger companies, and if you happen to burn youself out, blow and go they'll replace you with someone else as CRST has a high turnover rate. Make sure you guys share all the work, especially night driving, which is probablly the most common reason why teams fight.
Finally, try to work things out with your DM, try to negotiate with them. Many times loads have hard p/u and del times, other times you might have been out for awhile and want to go home, or have a familly emegency, ect. This is wene your abillity to negotiate will come in to play,as deeproller said try to get it on the qualcom to avoid any miss understandings that may come up later. Before excepting the load, try and see if you can have it powerd up half way by someone else so you can get routed back, you can request to have it t-called, or ask if u can pick it up and take off with it wene you get back from your home time if you happen to be around your home terminal. You might need a week off wene you've had enough and are about to throw in the towl. Whatever it may be, try to get them to work with you to make things easier, hopfully your DM will be willing to do so wene you reach your breaking point. You might just like it there if you hang in long enough.
