Hello and Welcome

I would suggest that you contact a trucking/Moving company to help you. They would have the appropriate insurance to cover moving your household items.
Best of Luck!!!Baack, ironhand and The Challenger Thank this. -

Most of us, "truckies", would also have to do the same and pay a moving company,if we were needing to move our household items. Best of Luck!

Hi,
There is an Australian section in the international forum, maybe its worth contacting a few folk thru that?
and off the record - the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra, based in Perth have the most HUGE truck for moving all their gear.
Maybe find out what it does on its "days off" ???kickin chicken, Baack and ironhand Thank this. -
Lolly,
I am KH. I understand where your coming from thinking it might cheaper more economical to have a trucker move you. Trust me and the other members when I say it is not. Your better off renting a vehicle and moving yourself. most companies here charge more as they have to factor in crew cost (most have a crew of two-three that includes the driver), fuel cost, maintenance cost, insurance, etc.
Now I do not know the rates for Australia but when moving my sister I saved around 2K to move her from Florida to Washington. That was 3200 miles and my family rented a U-Haul and towed her car. Yes it was expensive but so was United Van Lines and Allied Van Lines.
Good luck,
