Were any of you guys going South Bound on I-77 In North Carolina this morning between 6:30am and 8:00am, Between Exits 19 and 82?

I would have shouted to ya on the CB but it wasn't hooked up, in fact I was on my way to drop it off to have some work done to it.

Whoever it was had a nice shiny truck! I can't remember what kind of tractor it was, I was going north bound so I only got a quick look at it.

Anyone see the trucks WS bought from Crete? I saw two in Dalton and the looked pretty decent. I am sitting in Taylor getting a reset before heading to Cali.

I got one from Nebraska last monday...06 420K miles...they gave it #2120. They are getting the W/S decals and the qualcom hooked up in SFS. Ran pretty good a little week on the hills.

That seems to be the average mileage. I guess they will be replacing some of the higher mileage trucks with these. Rumor has it that they bought 28 units.

Makes me feel a little better that W/S is hiring to fill these trucks and not because of a high turnover rate. I am hoping for some positive news from W/S this week.

Well I pushed Till about 3Am Pacific time last night and I shut myself down about 150 miles from where I wanted to be. Started at 6PM, so now im finishing up my 10 hour and I gotta cover 11 hours worth of driving today... Sucks cause I could have made it to OK by Sunday night if I would have kept pushing. But saftey first!

I think they will be retiring some of the 1600 series trucks.

That's what I had heard, too. I guess they're getting rid of some old Columbias and replacing them with not-quite-as-old Centurys. I first heard about the Crete trucks yesterday at La Mirada, but I didn't actually see one until this morning when the shop was going over 2120. The mechanics were joking about the new old truck.
