Went down today to check on the kinfolks farm. Seems the heavy rain has had a harsh impact on the dam.

Last time I talked to uncle Herman he mentioned something about a line leaking in the belly of his dozer. Talked to my aunt after I left the farm, told her I would repair the dozer and get it on its feet since it will be needed to make repairs on the dam. Have a friend with an excavator that I will need too later when it dries up some….

Might be a good idea to check the oil and thump the tires. Looks like it's been sitting a few weeks.

Came home Friday and promptly buried my steer axle while simultaneously filling my drive lugs with greasy topsoil. Amazingly, after sitting for over 2 years without remembering to throw a tender on, the batteries were still good and she fired right up. Had to put some grease to a track adjuster that collapsed though. Old iron just is just so much more forgiving to abuse and neglect.

That sounds like a heck of a customer, and a busy gig for a "retired" fella.

If somethin happens and you get in a spot just holler. Sounds like you've got your hands full finding that much reliable help. I don't envy you there.

    We are all retired.

We voted on the contract that was 2/3 of the hay and agreed with the guys we picked up latter in the season, we could make it work. But he has added on to it without asking about our capacity. I may be able to broker it out but it turns into a multi stop, dedicated headache unless it is power only.

Time to watch the game and worry about this later.

Hey! Wanna share that 6 bean dip and pour one of those cold beers into my ice pitcher would ya? Thanks!

You're welcome to my share. I had to take a long detour to delivery this mornin. 80 was closed across WY by the time the farmer got me loaded yesterday, and I had agreed to meet my delivery guy at 9:30 this mornin.

Wife had a nice hot supper waitin. I'm full and tired, so I'm gonna call it a night.

    Y'all enjoy the game

Probably more of a regional fella you guys haven't heard of, but Roy D. Mercer has passed away.
