I always appreciate a good eye — others might think they are spoiled and lazy, but you seen right through it

Callin it a night at the Red Canyon overlook. Didn't see a truck all day that got sideways in the weather, but about 15 miles back just west of South Pass, one lost it. Must have just happened.

Straight stretch of flat road there. Not sure what went wrong.

I'm sure most of you have heard of the big crash inside the tunnel at Green River, WY yesterday.

Thing that stands out to me is the sheer stupidity in some people on the FB road conditions page asking questions about the detour through town. I cannot believe how many people don't understand what a interstate business loop is. Does nobody know how to read a map anymore? Maybe interpret signage on the roads?

There's actually people that think the local PD is going to write tickets to any truck going through town on a business loop.

    I hate the public.

I'm getting ready to start. Do you have any advice for me? I go Monday to turn in all paperwork they need and to get qualified for the school I want. I'm going through WIOA. Please don't tell me to choose something else, haha. I'm ready willing and able to put in the work and do what I have to do to fulfill my dream of becoming a driver. I do.not.wantnto.be a steering wheel holder. I've been studying, taking practice tests, and researching companies ahead of time. Been talking to drivers when and where I see one. I don't own flip flops and I shower daily, unless it's an easy day then it's a quick birdbath. My home and cars are clean so I know that cleanliness is a needed action. But any other advice is welcome. Doesn't matter if it's a small thing or a big thing. Anything helps.

Agreed, but in fairness we don’t have interstate business loops here in MD, and with that being the case it stands to reason they don’t exist in some other states either. What you’re encountering there probably stems from people residing in those states.

    Don’t take a 30, a 10, or a 34 hour reset while parked at a fuel pump.

Don’t cut a hole in the floor so you can use it as a toilet.

Don’t leave bags of human feces or bottles of urine laying all over the place for someone else to have to deal with.

Turn your headlights off when you get near somebody backing into a spot.

Don’t leave your headlights on high all night while you take a 10.

Don’t use the window squeegee at the fuel pump to clean your fifth wheel.

Not sure which is worse, squished bags of dookie, or the raw piles that seem to be everywhere in truck stop parking lots these days. Either way, both should result in loss of CDL and/or instant deportation.

It’s even better when it’s 20 feet from the building housing the restrooms too.
