Is a single coil considered divisible?

 

I’m not sure, but several states have a special permit for hauling them. So you can permit them easily

 

so off the bat i know nothing ,but . I thought all aluminum flatbeds and steel coils were a no go , from fear of damage , cracks and soforth .

 

They can be built for focused loads. There's a lot of them out there built for general freight that just don't have the proper beam construction though.

My aluminum flatbed has a ton of arch and the beams are probably 2ft tall in the center. it takes 60,000lbs loaded right in the center to take all of the arch out of that trailer.

 

If you look at the side rails of flats you’ll often see “place single coil here”or something similar on flatbeds @broke down plumber . All flatbeds are not created equal
