so off the bat i know nothing ,but . I thought all aluminum flatbeds and steel coils were a no go , from fear of damage , cracks and soforth .cke, The N.P.R.y guy, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

They can be built for focused loads. There's a lot of them out there built for general freight that just don't have the proper beam construction though.
My aluminum flatbed has a ton of arch and the beams are probably 2ft tall in the center. it takes 60,000lbs loaded right in the center to take all of the arch out of that trailer. -
If you look at the side rails of flats you’ll often see “place single coil here”or something similar on flatbeds @broke down plumber . All flatbeds are not created equalcke, MACK E-6, The N.P.R.y guy and 8 others Thank this.
