Going wages are all over the place depending on where you live. Where do you live?
-
Based out of dayton. Amerigas is in monroe (roughly 32-33min from me, local is maybe 18-20 mins)
-
Is the job market in Washington just as good as Oregon for tankers?Rugerfan Thanks this.
-
At some point I may want to move to Arizona depending how the market looks out there but as of now I'd like to get the experience
-
Ten4. What made you leave the State? I hear they're decent gigs to have.DanOMac Thanks this.
-
Seems to be. Seattle and Tacoma seem to pay pretty close, if not more than what we make down here.
-
Pay sucked. No idea how the benefits were because I didn't elect them at the time but I'm sure decent at least. Pension was okay, the work was underpaid really doing construction work for 20.71 and snow plowing wasn't worth it when you can be held liable depending on the situation wasn't worth my CDL. But outlook may have been different at a different garage which I couldn't transfer to until a year up.. some race situations when you're the only black guy on 2 shifts you can feel the uneasy vibes and some of what was said I can go on and on
-
I feel your pain. I dealt with that racist crap when I Iived in Baltimore. It sucked being the only White guy.DanOMac Thanks this.

Have you looked up reviews of both companies? A lot of negative reviews of either company would turn me off. Based on everything you've said I'd go amerigas, but they're a big company and in my area reviews weren't great. May be different in Ohio.DanOMac Thanks this.
