Bumper,
I didn't know you were dealing with such a serious health condition. And I thought my Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis was a bad deal. I am really hoping for a successful outcome for you. You really deserve it. As soon as you are able to travel be sure that you make that trip to see your sons. Time isn't always on our side. Our daughter is in Patuxent River, MD. and our son was just placed back on active duty USN and is in San Diego, CA. so we know the emptiness you feel without being able to reach out and hug them. Good luck and my prayers will also include your continued recovery.

Not to change the subject, but have you tried DMSO for your Crohn's? I was reading this doctor's blog (chemist), and he wrote about a lady whom he suggested trying some; and it gave her some relief. If you do, read up on the % solution, and whatever else. It can't be used carelessly.navypoppop Thanks this.

I thank you for your help with Crohns but I have been in remission for quite awhile now with little complications. My last colonoscopy showed that it is still there but the doctor took me off any medication and so far so good. Only 1 surgery to repair a problem in small bowel perforation and so far everything is OK. I hope it stays calm for a long time as I have dealt with it for over 45 years. So much for stealing the thread, sorrySirscrapntruckalot, 4mer trucker, Knucklehead and 5 others Thank this.

Might be time for a check in. Been running steady Savannah/Orlando since coming out of the house. I have been home 3 other times for Dr’s appointments. Took a full 24 hours off each time. The nice thing is I get a load to Port Saint Lucie, drop, and leave the truck there at the hub. Mrs Johnboy drives up the 51 miles to pick me up and then brings me back the next day. I’m not at liberty right now to discuss this medical issue, but suffice to say, it requires surgery and a lengthy recuperation period. So, when it is finally decided on April 2nd, that will be the end of my trucking antics. Meanwhile, my pending retirement will not be interrupted. This issue is something that I’ve been dealing with since my 30’s. It’s just now we figured out what it is and what needs to be done. It comes with a full recovery and no after effects, just a 3 month recovery period. Be safe all, heading back to Savannah.
