An article posted yesterday on a local SA news media page. The city is fixing to do a vote to crackdown on overnight parking in city limits. As of right now, parking is prohibited in residential areas. They are fixing to add a 1000ft buffer zone to the residential areas. This will prohibit overnight parking in most areas. It sounds like the city counsel is onboard.

As most of us know, parking in SA sucks enough as is. The truck stops on I-10 east and 35 south get full fast. There are some small ones in different areas, but not much. I cant think of anything on 35 north with the exception off 35 and O'Conner road. That is a real small one. Nothing else on the north side.

This is going to hurt for sure.

I like it when these karens step on their own toes.

Some municipality or HOA somewhere was cracking down on home owners who were parked in their own driveway, but had their cars overhanging the sidewalk.

Some bonehead builder or zoning glitch had the driveways too short for a regular sized car, and so cars parked on the driveway would necessarily block most of sidewalk access.

These are likely the same fools who overtake a tractor trailer with feet to spare before immediately exiting to the right and think nothing of it.

Devils advocate here. Most drivers are pigs. Look around anywhere trucks park. Trash, urine, #### EVERYWHERE. Blocking stuff, driving like idiots and damageing stuff, parking next to homes with a badly maintained truck and more. Its hard to blame places for not wanting us anywhere near them.

This is less a karens issue and more a drivers are pigs and the pigs ruined it for the rest of us issue.

You have a valid point. Yes, some drivers are pigs. I will not argue with that. We have all seen it. If you go research the article, it had nothing to do with that. It was some homeowners that didnt like trucks.

Unfortunately, yes thats true. I grew up in SA. Used to be a safe and affordable city to live in. Now, all the California crap took over. Crime and cost of living are out of control. No way in hell I would move back into my hometown.
