Had an O/O change his oil in a mom and pop truck stop last week.
Dropped the oil on the ground and used his pickup to pull it forward to refill.
Finished and drove to another spot.

Time to place bets on the next blue collar city to become trendy and get overran by Karens more than they already are:
I have Tulsa, Bryan/College Station, and Omaha on my bingo cardTexasgordo, D.Tibbitt, JC1971 and 1 other person Thank this. -
It’s illegal in Florida per state law to park or block a sidewalk. I can’t speak for other states but I’m quite sure they have similar laws.
Really has nothing to do with Karen’s in HOA’sFlat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
SA is becoming as bad as Memphis. Go 30-60 minutes out of town in any direction and you’ll find decent safe parking.Texasgordo, D.Tibbitt, RockinChair and 2 others Thank this.

Huntsville AL has started. Nashville, TN is/has peaking (ed)
If you see a town mentioned on any HGTV shows, it is already being eaten by the locusts.Last edited: Feb 23, 2025

Thats the bad part. Back in the day, the only truck stops were on I10 E. The J,Petro and Peelot. You had the small place across from the J at one time. Its now a carwash I believe. The Peelot always sucked. That parking lot was tight and still hasn't changed. Petro was decent. When the TA opened up, that was good. you had a couple just further east on 10 by FM1516. Not sure if they are still there. A few on I35 south in the area where Loves is at. On NW I10 there was the Dimond Shamrock.
When I used to deliver to HEB off Rittiman rd. I would park on the street. Never had an issue. That was back in the mid 90's to 03. I'm sure its changed now.
If you are on the northside off I35 and O'Conner there is a Small Circle K across from Jims. They have truck parking. Just get there early.Last edited: Feb 23, 2025
PacoTaco Thanks this. -
It's a herd of karens who have proposed this ordinance prohibiting truck parking on the street.
Just like those jackal karens in Florida who had an ordinance passed prohibiting a trucker from parking on his own property.
Different states, same brain damage. -
You’re not kidding. I live up in Bowling Green, KY. At least the increase in Nashvillains got some urgency going to make I-65 a 3 lane road to the state line lol. Good news is the word Kentuckian doesn’t really have the same ring as Tennessee with the coastal folk, and we’re too far to be a ‘reasonable’ commute to Nashville, so we should be safe for a while.
Not sure where the young adults in Murfreesboro, Lebanon, and Clarksville are gonna go when they get priced out of their towns while still working entry level jobs, even in the trades or white collar world.MACK E-6, tscottme and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
I remember back when there used to be a little Coastal truck stop on the northwest side. If I remember correctly it was on Fredericksburg after it splits off from the access road but before you got to Huebner.
Of course, that was back when you could also park at the 543 and get a really good meal at Caverns.
About the only place around San Antonio where you can consistently find a parking spot anymore are the little truck stops (some of them have closed down) between 1516 and Seguin, or down at the Love's in Three Rivers. And that little fuel stop on the south side of Blanco always has plenty of room, as does the little fuel stop in Pawnee. -
I dont recall the one off Fred rd and Huebner. Then again I didnt run that area of SA much.
