thanks i should know something by tommrrow I hope i am so ready to get back in the seat

Swift338, I live just south of Charlotte. When I worked for Roehl I took freight to places in south Carolina and bob-tailed home. There were some paper companies there.
I went to consignees in Erwin North Carolina and bob-tailed home. There were places on steele creek road (Highway 160) in North Carolina.
Make sure you stop smoking, lay off salty foods and check your blood pressure. BLOOD PRESSURE is big with Roehl!
I saw many drivers go home for bad blood pressure. -
Thanks for the info i found out today that i have been accepted to Roehl Transport so i am very happy and ready to go anybody going on May 24th i will see u there
-
I have a scheduled date for the same time in Ellenwood, GA, but I think I am going to Schneider instead. They have set me up on a regional run in my area with weekend hometime. The pay is less, but I hear they are getting more miles and I would be home 95% of weekends. If things fall through with SNI, I will be at Roehl on the 24th.
-
Well bigcove the only thing that would stop you at SNI is the pre-hire screen testing. You can go to their website and go to safety and training and download the video that shows exactly how to do the different exercises. Good luck.
-
No matter where you go, remember, the days leading up to the screening. NO CAFFEINE, this includes pop, coffee, and many fruit juice drinks.
Caffeine will raise your BP, like no other, its how I failed the screening at Roehl last year. -
My blood pressure is fine....normally 124/78. My wife is a medical professional and checks it regularly (bi-weekly), so I am not worried at all about the BP. I have started walking and changing my diet just to make sure my heart rate will be okay. It should be anyway, but I am making sure. The only worries is just from being out of work so long and then having this rug yanked out for some unseen reason. In reality, I shouldn't have anything to worry about, it is just the unknown and being my first orientation and all that makes me unsure.
I take my drug test for them on Friday, and that will not be an issue. No meds for over three months and definitely nothing illegal to worry about.
I did ask again if this was for the regional position I was fist contacted about. A driver told me over the weekend that he thought everyone started OTR and I asked about that. I was told that was old school with SNI and that they need to fill 2100 regional positions across the country and I will be one of those seats. We will see what happens in orientation.
If any one else is scheduled for Dallas on May 22, please let me know.
Also, if anyone can give me a heads up on the hotel they use there, I would really appreciate it. -
I'm in the process of getting input into their system. Get the call tomorrow to find out when and where I report for the DOT physical. even though I have one scheduled with my doc on the 6th. They want one with the company they are contracted with. So if I pass will they give my my card there or do they send it to Roehl?
I haven't committed completely to them yet. It is between them and Millis though. Good and bad about both though. So it is a minute to minute choice so far. I'm worried about the blood sugar levels. They were high for me when I was in the office last. I've lost some weight and changed my eating habits along with stopping the coke addiction (soda)... That was where most of my empty calories came from...
Well I'll know more tomorrow. We'll see when I get there or if I get there... -
You get your card. They may or may not fax the long form to Roehl but you should get the original of that also.hindsy Thanks this.
