I usually wear shorts till -18c, 0f. And I spend some time outside daily, and 7 hours in a school bus.
My normal winter coat is a hoody.
I did rear rotors, pads, hub seals today on the spare in shorts and t shirt.

That heatwave we had last summer was brutal. We were building headers outside all day during that. I was getting up at 5 am just to water the lawns and gardens to give them half a shot at survival.

Okay, finally dug out the important pieces that we were talking about, and the one had to be cleaned up as there was either paint in it, or scum dirt that was hardened on it or something, but that one took a while and consistent application of Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray, rinse and repeat at least a dozen or so times and let it sit in it, and then repeat. That one was the Detroit Creamery Co. Bottle. I'll do this in 3 different posts.
This is the Detroit Creamery Company one:
This side of the bottle reads: "DETROIT CREAMERY CO. DETROIT, MICH. REGISTERED BB48" BB48 is on the bottom line where it connects to the bottom chamfer.
This side has a Logo of a D intersected by the C and Co and reads: "ONE QUART SEALED 48 LIQUID" The word LIQUID is on the chamfer at the bottom.
On the bottom is a square that takes most of the bottom up, but has "30 W" underneath it on the edge of the bottle bottom and this bottom is concaved.
Here's a link to a quick blurb about this Creamery and it's location. Streets named after the officers of it are still in the area of the old creamery, just north of 16 Mile Road in Macomb County just south of Mt. Clemens, MI.
Update: As the video mentions this creamery was sold to National Dariy Products which later became part of Kraft Foods because of acquisitions.Last edited: Mar 2, 2025

This was the cleanest bottle, Belle Isle Creamery Co, which as I'm finding out, later became part of the Borden Dairy Co, through acquisitions.
This reads: "Belle Isle CREAMERY CO. DETROIT REGISTERED" The Belle Isle is in cursive writing. On the back of the bottle it reads: "ONE QUART SEALED 48 LIQUID BB 48" with the BB 48 again, being on the bottom chamfer of the bottle. The bottom has a large block letter 'B' and below that is a stamped "29W" it looks like. This bottom is also concave.

This one is my favorite, though it's missing the bottom of the bottle from damage when it probably was buried. It was found underneath what used to be a horse buggy barn/garage, with a wood floor and cedar shingling, much like what is on the house underneath of the aluminum siding.
The Bottle reads:
Side 1:
Coca-Cola TRADEMARK REGISTERED BOTTLE PAT'D NOV 16, 1915
Side 2:
Coca-Cola TRADEMARK REGISTERED MIN CONTENTS 6 - FL OZS
Bottom of the broken edge is illegible, but looks like ROOT, but it's not clear because that's where it breaks. Research tells me that the plant this bottle would have come from can't be known, because the location of manufacture was glass stamped on the bottom and this one is missing it's bottom. This style is apprently called a Hobble Skirt.
Just a note, all these bottles have some wear on the lettering because back then, these bottles were probably banging against each other and later ones were in mechanical dispensing machines that were very rough on the bottles, which it why they were so thick, to withstand the abuse...besides that, of the one's I've seen on like Ebay, etc, this one is pretty legible, compared to those.
Here's a brief description from an article at this site.
