The Traveling Tiger at exit 87 is a decent place to stay if you're coming from the east. Not super close to El Paso but close enough.

    D.Tibbitt and tarmadilo Thank this.

Last time I passed through that area I stopped at the Plateau Truck Stop at Exit 159 in Van Horn.
Typical dirt lot truck stop(Indian run) but decent amount of parking and it was quiet.
Not “glamorous” but it got the job done.

Yup,and most noise you might hear (reefer madness aside) are the freight trains running east or west.
    Personally I actually enjoy those!
