Digital odometer display not displaying anything .

Ok thanks for the reply. I had a wire rubbing against the hood latch near ambient temperature sensor and I repaired that it just worked for a few seconds then it showed two dashes. I think it must have shorted the cpc.

I hooked it to my mechanics computer it showed the proper mileage. he told me to take it to the dealer.

 

I don’t know exact your problems. If your DEF light is flashing red if the odometer is frozen if your engine brake light is not turning on but engine brake is working there are other things besides ambient air temperature sensor. but you can drive with that problem. My ambient air temperature sensor is coming on and going back over the past three years. The CPC4 module seems like expensive, but it is way better to do it when you are at home.

 

Which model year is your truck?
The cable should go in through door panel to the driver side mirror for ambient air temperature sensor.
I don’t know where it was chafing to the hood.
Almost all Cascadia’s which is 6-7-8 years old have this issue with CPC four because of the design of the module.

 

it is 2022 Freightliner cascadia I am not worried about the ambient temperature sensor. Odometer froze and it is logging the hours on ELD log book. That’s my main problem.

I found the problem can you believe it was the radio. So I had old radio from international and I just swapped it, everything plugged well in the freightliner. Radio was working fine and you know freightliner should put their own plug if it causes the truck not to operate without their radio.
