FMCSA hypocrisy

I cheer to limit the nuclear verdict. Because you as an owner operator can be on the wrong end of that for anything minor. Just needs the right jury to hate trucks. Imagine sitting in a court room because someone got a big time hammer to take you to court for an accident of anykind and the jury takes your life away and makes you write out checks for the rest of your life. It happens a lot here. Friend of mine got $500,000 ruled against him because a drive tire blew out and damaged a women's car who was slowly passing. Damage, mental anguish, afraid to drive around trucks, blah blah. Those lawsuits are Just not in news because it is not a big nationwide company involved. Tejas wants to stop that. Those hammer lawyers arn't living the high life for nothing.

 

We don't know that every foreigner cannot speak, read, or write English. It's just assumed that they can't because they don't "look American." Sure there have been a few in which there was a language barrier, but that certainly does not speak for every foreigner. Anyway, that's really not important, you want to talk about liars? What truck driver, or anyone else involved in the industry has been 100 percent truthful? Remember those paper log days? Lol

Fact is the driver under the influence of drugs was hiding in his sleeper peaking out. Cops got him out and gave him a field sobriety test and arrested him..understood and spoke English.

 

The one in Austin surly didn’t look Merican , lol.

We also know a signed and sworn affidavit saying that the driver understood and spoke English is a deep state ploy by the you tube crowd.

 

It's all racist driven. That's why. Trucking ain't the good ole boys club anymore. Social media is driving a lot of this low level thinking. They don't want diversity, or a browner country. That's the real root of the outrage. This good ole boys club has requirements: white, Christian, prejudiced, xenophobic, misogynistic, straight, right leaning. Gotta check all those boxes or you're not a real trucker.

 

I am with ya 100 percent. Don't forget, the driver in Austin had a court date looming for a speeding ticket, 63 in a 35 if I remember right, and he didn't get locked up then. They are worried about whether he speaks English but the bigger issue was that he was intoxicated.

 

The guy in Colorado got his sentence reduced to 10 years. He speaks English actually. Poor training caused that accident (in my opinion the biggest issue in trucking).

Imagine starting a you tube channel and only presenting actual facts..you wouldn’t get one view, like or subscriber.. So to be successful you really have to target the easily duped.

Don’t get me wrong, this foreign invasion ticks me off to no end. The difference in me is I know what caused it (ATA) and I know how to end it.
