I’ve bought scrapers, made scrapers out of files, none worked as good as a scraper with a single edge razor blade in it. Get it started on a gasket surface with silicone and keep the handle down to reduce the angle and it will walk a gasket off like putting icing on a cake.
Now if there’s knicks in the metal it will stop you, but if it’s flat it takes the work out of it I promise!!
When I bought my bucket of bolts I found enough red silicone in the oil pan to more than fill a tablespoon. Even the cores in the radiator had some silicone stick in them, it was a mess.
If I use silicone I only apply a very thin layer, and only on the outer 1/2 of the gasket surface, never from the center inwards…. -
Oh I hate those people. A far as I'm concerned rtv has only 2 purposes....1 is when you have to get it back together asap and can't wait for the correct gasket to get shipped. And 2, just a thin coat to hold the gasket in place while getting the past lined up. No other reason to ever use it.

Well, then that pretty much seals that it was a hoax. The only reason not to have your name in an email of some sort, is to obfuscate your identity purposely. Not unusual, but for such credentials it's not important since you can sign up and create a handle that can be whatever you want it to be, in the forums posts, right @MACK E-6 ?
Appreciate the appreciation.

Never poked around researching IP's much, but wouldn't using a cell phone as implied result in multiple IP's?cke, 1951 ford, broke down plumber and 9 others Thank this.

The possiblity is that they have an Internet and Phone bundle. AT&T, for example, has a big push on users to do just that, incorporate their phone in the plan, and if they're using the same carrier, yes that could be two IP address...in that area, near Temple, the other big one is T-Mobile, and there is a cable provider in the area, that can be doing the same thing. Xfinity is an example of a cable company trying to do the same. All three could have a main switch in Dallas, which is why the IP resolves to that area. It's a backbone connection.
