Company I used to work for paid .03cpm extra for driver facing dash cam. It’s up to the driver if he wants it or not (4k $$ a year does sound nice). For me in the future it would be a deal breaker if I’m not getting paid for it and they’re getting an insurance discount.
hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Do you really know what .03cpm means in real money?
Here is a hint... it is NOT 3 cents per mile. 3 cents per mile would be 3 cpm.OlegMel and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -

My old company that I haven’t worked for in 4 years had some AI cameras, apparently they weren’t good enough cause a driver I still know who works there says they are installing new fancier cameras with facial recognition that will record all biometrics…..not even owned an American company……seems pretty unnecessary

Seems now they want the lowest paid drivers possible to put up with unbelievable babysitting micro management. Instead of paying professional seasoned drivers what they are worth they would rather have a revolving door of inexperienced drivers they can pay the lowest pay possible. They can watch drivers 24/7 and micromanage the crap out of them until they give up and move onto something else. It's turning into nothing more than a "pass through ' job ( which it already is for a lot of companies). Except for 3rd world drivers who love hauling as owner op for a buck.a mile. They eventually will demand more. I'll Never work for a company with more than an outward camera, good luck!

I didn't go through all the posts. My answer though, is, yes, driver facing camera is a deal breaker. Period.
