I don't know why you didn't go up to the TA or the Flying J in Edinburg (less than 10 miles from McAllen) and scale out before you left, do you?

    roaddawg92 Thanks this.

Never trust a shipper, most of them will always lie about how much they are loading on you.

You kept everything after they unloaded 43K off you right? If it ain't on the bills, it ain't getting unloaded.

There's a difference between not knowing better than to scale after 4+ years, and having never come across a reason not to trust a free scale. I've never trusted a shippers scale to the pound, but I never figured I'd have to give one a 2k allowance either, now I know better. Won't matter how long I keep going either, if you EVER stop learning things out here, you're doing it wrong.

Broker was M&G out of Pharr,TX, I'd just delivered in San Antonio my first run under own authority and they were first call I got after posting my truck, figured I'd just take it despite the DH cause it was pointing me home and had made a laundry list for shop being as it was also new equipment. After watching the numbers roll at the scale in KS I just said f#$% it, caught US75 up to Omaha put it in the shop and rented a daycab to run it in to Des Moines (yes, I have heard of CYA =). Learned pretty quick after that and the England load I jumped on right away to get rolling again once out of shop to be a little more diligent in picking loads. On week 4 load 7 now after some more shop time and doing better, but still need to look into finding some of my own sources if I wanna do more than pay for the truck.
