In order to pass my cdl test I need to get these cars out and get them loaded on these trucks three at a time. The cars have to be the same color as the trucks. I have never seen this in my 1 million miles and 10 years of driving but that is what my trainer wants. @Hammer166 do you agree with this, and how would you do it?Vampire, kemosabi49, tarmadilo and 11 others Thank this. -
Maybe move left green to green transport , then 2 following pink onto the pink transport then first pink in next line to pink trans - thats 3 pink , then the next green in line to the green trans then the last green from far right lane . ( only see the green and pink trans ports)

No. I don't wanna cancel anyone's vote out in this consequential poll. This could change the trajectory of the trucking industry as we know it, and I don't want to be the deciding vote in the demise of something I used to love doing

If you move a car any other color than the transport it goes to a parking space. The other transport to the right cannot move up until the one on the left is loaded. If you fill the parking spaces before the transport is loaded you fail the test.Star Rider, Bean Jr., Concorde and 1 other person Thank this.

Frankly, I don't use either term, I was merely echoing the OP's terminology in a naive attempt at avoiding confusion!

I remember the laughs we had in safety meetings going over some of this stuff when the CDL was being rolled out. The recommended city turn method was hilarious... There's plenty of places you'll sit till next week before you get the room to execute a turn using that method. Just typical bureaucratic thinking, they described a method to reduce risk in right hand corners while none of them had the real world experience to know the impractability of that method in those situations where it would be most beneficial: congested city streets full of impatient cars. They also seemed to not understand that it wasn't just short P&D rigs navigating those cramped environs, and that method is often fully impossible to accomplish with an OTR-style combination for reasons of geometry.MACK E-6, Star Rider, Crude Truckin' and 3 others Thank this. -
Some of these places I get to, it don't matter what you call it, buttonhooking, jughandles, squaring off, you simply ain't making the turn without taking every inch of the intersection, and maybe breaking a few laws while doing it. And I only pull a 45' tanker....
Maybe I'll start a thread on how to make a LEFT turn at a VERY busy intersection with a red light, with a left turn lane but no left turn arrow. That could be funStar Rider, Crude Truckin', Oxbow and 5 others Thank this. -
Park first green , move two pink , , move first pink in next line - 3 pink done - then take parked green , the green in second row and first in last row . That might workSmallPackage Thanks this.
