Please help, if anyone else has been in a similar situation. I have a Renault truck with a Volvo engine, so I took it to a Volvo service center for service. The Wabco air compressor broke and had to be replaced. Shortly after the replacement, the stud broke and the compressor fell out of place. Some people say that Volvo has instructions stating which screws and washers must be replaced when replacing the air compressor. Is this true? If so, does anyone have any documentation about this? Thank you in advance for your help.

You're not from around here, are you? It's okay, all are welcome here. It's just, in the 10+ years I've been here, I never heard anyone ask about a Renault ( my old man called them "Renultz") truck before. Not sure about what Volvo calls for, but sounds like shoddy repair work to me.

You are certainly not from North America, and aside from one little sub-folder in one small forum, this is exclusively a U.S.A. and Canada forum. Renault hasn't sold trucks here in the US in DECADES. And last I knew, Renault trucks was owned by Mack (or was it the other way around?), so nobody here would have even the faintest clue about one with a Volvo motor. So, I can safely say that NOBODY here has ever been in the same situation.....

I used to read a British trucker's forum, so maybe somebody there would know...
FWIW, I DID once drive a Renault truck; I believe it was a 16T, 6-wheeler box /cabover with air-over-hydraulic brakes and a 6-speed. It was branded as a Mack, but was a Renault through-and-through. Mid 80's, if I'm correct. Rode like a bronco, had no power, and was noisy as heck. It was at a moving company, and I was the only person with a CDL-A, so I didn't drive that one very often...
