The Truckers’ Report flatbed Hall of Shame.

Has anybody put their own loads on here? I had a tarp failure at my last company that was embarrassing.

Yes I have, but I don't remember what I did that warranted it.

 

Couple years ago got stuck in a muddy jobsite I used to go to everyday and submitted myself to the thread. Sometimes a guy needs some humility

 

And the fact of the matter is, every single one of us on here, has had Oops moments where we looked around to see if anyone had noticed. I know I have already!!!!

 

I’ve had several tarp jobs that should have been on here, but with local delivery sometimes you’re tarping 5 times a day and your load is always changing shape as you go. It’s just not realistic to always take the time to make it really pretty. I’m sure ready for summer when I won’t be doing so much of it.

 

I started driving at 18 years old . In 1974 in Georgia you could a chauffeurs license that basically you could drive anything with wheels on it. I'm living proof they shouldn't give a 18 year old a license to drive a loaded semi truck. I'll just leave it at that.

 

We share history.
I got all my different driving experiences in with only a chauffers license as well in Michigan. Van, tankers, reefers, sleds, dumps and flatbeds...and almost every one of those were OJT. As long as you could shift the gears and not ruin the clutch, you were qualified. The education of how to drive each differently, came later..on the job.

And yes, we all have. I believe I posted some of my SNAFU's from years ago here or another thread, as an example of what not to do.
