Could not agree more. The way I see other drivers tailgating (including 18 wheelers) it is no wonder there is not more crashes. Had another driver today in Pilot Tehachapi CA come over to me to read me the riot act because I was leaving too much distance between me and the truck ahead of me ( Snowing by the way). It made him miss the light on the end of the off ramp, well made me very sad that another driver would disapprove of my following distance. So I told him ( a few things that can not be put here ) and went about my day. Amazing off to Phoeniz in the morning, parked somewhere in all that darkness between CA14 and I15. Waiting for the tall whites to show up.
Well.. here goes another one

Id be careful with folks like that. Co-worker of mine from when i worked at the USPS had a dude follow him into a pilot then brain him with a winch bar because he was doing the speed limit in a 1 lane construction zone. I actully got to see the video after the fact. Said co worker never said a word to the moron just started fueling and when he was bent over the steer checking the oil the dude just walked up and clocked him.broke down plumber, Sons Hero, Flat Earth Trucker and 3 others Thank this.

I didnt know him more then the evening guy who took my truck, so we werent super close. And yea from what i heard guy caved in the back of his skull and caused some pretty serious brain injurys. Didnt kill him, but he never did come back to work.
People seem to have a hair trigger anymore.broke down plumber, D.Tibbitt and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
The rammed vehicles were stopped due to a flagger at a construction zone.
Next stop is TXDOC for the unfortunate driver of the tractor trailer.
Rest in peace to the decedents of this horrific wreck and godspeed to their loved ones.broke down plumber, JB7, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well that makes more sense. The texas construction zones are an absolute nightmare. I'm surprised there ain't wrecks every single day, multiple times of day... I've been sideswiped nearly half a dozen times in the past couple months because truck drivers want to haul ### thru the zones where the lanes are super narrow.broke down plumber, Flat Earth Trucker, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this.

Ever see the YouTube channel Bendin with Bendon?
Well, Devin works in Houston and replaces many a wheel stud due to scraping damage. I'll bet you a sausage on a stick from Petro a lot of these trucks passed through I-10 San Antonio headed east toward Houston.
Twenty eight miles (or close to it) of that drive just east of San Antonio, as you probably are well aware, is narrow with jersey barrier on both sides in addition to the road surface being ruff and uneven with unpredictable pitches.broke down plumber, D.Tibbitt, JB7 and 1 other person Thank this.
