I know what you are talking about, I never go out much to eat anymore like I used to for pasta, pizza, firehouse subs, all that good stuff. But I have learned to enjoy the stuff I do eat now and the changes to my health make it easier. Giving up processed sugar is a big step and sounds like it has done you a lot of good. But if you still have any health problems then remember that carbohydrates also break down to glucose. If you can limit yourself to maybe a hundred grams of carbohydrates that should help even more.
Just did a three day fast.

Great thread!
I haven't done anything beyond 24 hr but intermittent fasting has been awesome for me over the past few years. I always struggled with a #### diet, hustling for everyone else while neglecting myself, and just accepted the fact I felt like crap and was sore all the time... you know, truck driver stuff.
Intermittent fasting has gotten me to my tipping point. A small change helped trigger a massive shift. Now I'm 40 feeling 20, at 15% body fat, mind and body in sync and working together instead of constantly battling each other and killing motivation. I'm that dad at the park with his kids who does chin ups on the playground now. And that guy getting angry at a kettlebell outside his truck each night. With all the information we have now, theres no reason for any more of us to die the truck driver early deaths we're destined for. I wish it didn't take a mid life crisis for me to figure out!
I wanna be able to touch my toes, climb a tree, and crush monkey bars. Almost there
I wish everyone felt this good

Good luck to you there. Remember that unprocessed fat is a good thing. Do not get anything that says low or non-fat. That just means it is replaced with chemicals of some kind. My favorite things to eat are real butter, fatty meats, whole eggs, and low sugar fruits like berries and avocados.

Are you under 35 years old by chance? With your kind of diet and being a truck driver, people usually weigh a lot more than 190lbsD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Avocados are what you eat if you want to gain weight. May want to reconsider eating them.
You weigh about 3.5 times more than I so if you want to lose weight listen to the skinny guy..not the tubbies
Eat once a day anything you want. Snack on carrot sticks if you’re programmed to constantly shovel food into your mouth. The 3 meals a day mantra was created by the government just like the food pyramid..
Ignore hunger pains, they don’t last long. It’s only a symptom of your stomach going back to normal from being filled to capacity.
Don’t fast for lengthy periods, you’ll do more harm than good. -
Wanted to add..If you havn't already, get your Thyroid checked. It' just a simple blood test your Doc can order.

Okay I just did the math, if i weigh 3.5 times more than you, then you are around 50 pounds, you really need to eat a lot of those avocados there, it is possible to be too thin to the point of being unhealthy. But they really are the healthiest and most filling fruit that exists. But eat them with your once a day meal, it is good to have a long intermittent fasting period each day.Concorde Thanks this.
